Thunder is blind. He spent his entire life confined to a stall, never once experiencing the open world. But the moment he felt grass beneath his hooves for the first time, something changed. He held his head high — and he hasn't stopped since.
His Story
Thunder was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where he had lived his entire life confined to a small stall, sightless and isolated. He had never known open space, fresh air, or the company of other animals. He had never been given the chance to simply be a horse.
When we brought him to the sanctuary, his first steps on open ground were unforgettable. Despite never having seen the world, Thunder navigated it with courage. He has since formed a close bond with our team and with his fellow sanctuary animals. His blindness has never defined his spirit.
