Simba entered our lives on the day someone tried to end his. He fought back from a fractured skull and a broken spirit — and today he lounges on the couch, greets every visitor, and soaks up all the love he was once denied.
His Story
On June 5, 2023, Simba — an elderly dog searching for food in the trash — was brutally beaten with a wooden plank. No one helped him. When we arrived, he was swollen, limping, and in unbearable pain.
At the hospital, we learned the full extent of his injuries: anemia, infection, and a fractured skull. He spent weeks receiving medicated baths, physiotherapy, antibiotics, and round-the-clock care just to stay alive.
Slowly, he fought his way back. Simba is a permanent member of our sanctuary family now — adoption is unlikely at his age, but he already has a home. He is safe, adored, and at peace.
