Shakira was a frightened foal running loose in traffic, narrowly avoiding disaster with every passing car. She made it out — and now she's safe, growing, and full of life at our sanctuary.
Her Story
In early 2024, we received an urgent report about a young foal frantically running in the middle of a busy road, nearly getting struck by multiple cars. We went immediately.
Shakira was terrified, disoriented, and alone. We safely secured her and brought her back to the sanctuary, where she has since settled into a confident, curious young horse. She still has growing to do — and we're honored to be the ones to guide her through it.
