Safira is a senior girl with a story that started in chaos — rescued alongside four other donkeys in a single day. She has known hardship, but she's known love too. And at our sanctuary, love is what defines her days now.
Her Story
On June 18, 2021, we rescued Safira alongside four other donkeys — Jade, Turquesa, Rubi, and Topázio — all in a single rescue mission. It was one of the most challenging days we'd had, but seeing them all safe made it worth every moment.
As a senior, Safira has specific needs that go beyond basic care. She requires special food, attentive veterinary monitoring, and extra comfort to make sure her golden years are as peaceful and dignified as possible. She is gentle, grateful, and deeply loved by our team.
