Paçoca's life started in darkness — locked away with no food, no water, and no hope. One cry from a trapped sibling changed everything. Today he lives at the sanctuary with his sister and mom, napping in the sun and playing like he was always meant to.
His Story
Paçoca and his family — his mother Pepita and three siblings — were locked inside a room on a neighboring property with no food or water. It was only when one of the puppies became trapped in a gate and cried out that our team heard them. One staff member jumped the fence and discovered the entire family starving and dehydrated, hidden away and forgotten.
Their owner had zero interest in them, so we rescued the whole family. That one cry saved them all. Today Paçoca lives at the sanctuary alongside his sister Judite and their mom, Pepita — a handsome, happy boy who has never known anything but kindness since the day we found him.
