The Queen of Our Sanctuary
Her Story
Eva was found at a construction site after spending several days dragging herself around with a severe, open spinal injury. Exposed surgical material suggested she had undergone an earlier operation. We don’t know what caused her injuries or how she ended up there.
After her rescue, Eva underwent two surgeries to stabilize her spine and ease her discomfort. Although she would never regain the use of her back legs, her story was far from over.
Today, Eva is an active, joyful dog who has adapted beautifully to her wheelchair. Her spirited personality and the happiness she brings to everyone around her have earned her the title “Queen of the Sanctuary.”
Behind that happy face is a continuing need for specialized care. Eva lives with a serious chronic urinary infection. Every month, she visits a kidney specialist and receives ultrasounds, blood work, and urine tests. She also receives laser therapy and ongoing treatment to support her comfort and well-being.
