Cosmo and his bonded companion Cora were rescued together after enduring severe neglect. They arrived thin, sick, and scared — but they had each other. Today, they share a peaceful life at our sanctuary, never apart.
His Story
In February 2024, Cosmo and Cora were rescued from severe neglect. Both donkeys were dangerously underweight, suffering from untreated health issues, and living in conditions no animal should ever experience.
From the moment they arrived, it was clear they shared a deep bond. They've remained inseparable ever since. With proper care, food, and the safety of our sanctuary, Cosmo has made an incredible recovery. He is now gentle, affectionate, and clearly thriving.
