Cora and her bonded companion Cosmo were rescued together after enduring severe neglect. They arrived thin, sick, and scared — but refused to give up on each other. Today they share a peaceful life at our sanctuary, side by side.
Her Story
In February 2024, Cora and Cosmo were rescued from a situation of severe neglect. Both donkeys were dangerously underweight, suffering from untreated ailments, and living in conditions no animal should endure.
The bond between them was clear from day one — they arrived together and have stayed together ever since. With proper nutrition, veterinary care, and the safety of our sanctuary, both have made remarkable recoveries. Cora is now calm, curious, and absolutely loveable.
